Facing The Sun

4 Piece Metal Band

Facing The Sun originally came about from constant inebriated jamming between Kevin, Joe, J and former guitarist Steve Lograsso in J's now ash-filled garage. Pete Diekmann was then forced to play bass and quickly started learning the few songs that we had wrote. Steve then left the band to pursue other musical projects and Rico was picked up on guitar. Our music is now an amalgamation of a multitude of influences and ideas.

S.T.E.M.

4 Piece Progressive Hard Rock Band

Space, Time, Energy and Mass (S.T.E.M.) is a Progressive/Hard Rock band hailing from Long Island, NY. Paying homage to the influential greats whom defined Progressive Rock as it was intended to be heard, S.T.E.M. manages to consistently incorporate unconventional time signatures with heart pounding rhythms and mind accelerating lyrics whose fusion yield prolific thought by composition. By fluidly mixing elements of Mediterranean Soul, Funk and purist American metal, S.T.E.M. aggressively redefines the rock experience with the unique flavor of their arrangements and colorful harmonic progressions. Assembled in August 2006, S.T.E.M. is the harmonious offspring of the former members of "Project plan b", vocalist/percussion Ryan Safarian, guitarist Greg Bolomey and "Bunson Large" bassist Jeff Romano who then welcomed the styling of Drummer Tony Consalvo to complete the progressive rock quartet. S.T.E.M.'s influences are respectfully drawn from the irrefutable and transcendent talent of pioneers like Dream Theater, Tool, Primus, Rush, Opeth, Gruvis Malt, and Pantera. Working closely with recording engineer Michael Barile (Candiria), in 2007, S.T.E.M. welcomed their three track demo "Birth" into the world of audiophile grade music, a 25 minute progressive journey powerful from the start yet euphonically sound in its entirety. The sampling includes titles "Prog" and "Type 12" which were highlighted on the radio show "Making a Scene" , with the endorsement of Long Island Music Hall of Fame founder/chairman Richard L'Hommedieu as well as "the Indie Connection" with Inside Connection magazine president Kurt Tietjen at the helm. "Birth" continues including the 8 minute epic "1916," a powerful song whose overwhelming praise is dictated by those who matter most, their fans. The Summer of 2007 marked the completion of S.T.E.M.'s first tour, generating so much "buzz" they were not only recognized but respected by such magazines as Aural Fix and Inside Connection thus leading to a featured spot on 90.1 WUSB radio. While on the road, S.T.E.M. flat out won the Inside Connection "Spot light concert series" (hosted by Katie's of Smithtown). Emerging victorious from battle against the finest talent Long Island has to offer, this win represents the first born of S.T.E.M.'s catalogue of triumphs past, present and future.

Cosmos Moon

5 Piece Progressive Hard Rock Band

Formed in 2000, Cosmo's Moon is one of the most exciting and dynamic
bands on the scene today....

Combining melodic, yet hard-hitting music with thought-provoking
lyrics along with a high-energy live show, Cosmo's Moon has made a
name for themselves on the Long Island and NYC club scene....

Founding member and lead guitarist Mark Valentino's music and lyrics
are based on his personal experiences which provide the listener a
window to Mark's soul...." I know I wear my heart and emotions on my
sleeve when I write, but there's nothing wrong with bringing honesty
and truth and mixing them with a few notes and words...It's that
honesty and truth that is missing from allot of today's music"....

Capable of nailing shredding, fleet fingered leads along with slow,
emotional, melodic solos, his virtuoso guitar skills are reminiscent
of Neal Schon (Journey), Al DiMeola, Joe Satriani and John Petrucci
(Dream Theater)....

Drummer  Lucille Weidner provides the backbone of this rock-solid
musical force....

Vocalist/rhythm guitarist Matt Dower is one of the voices behind
Cosmo's Moon....Matt's soulful, emotive voice and awesome guitar
playing bring a powerful element that was missing from the band's
winning formula...

Trisha Storch is Cosmo's Moon's other co-lead vocalist.....A
professionally trained opera singer, Trisha is an amazing vocalist who
adds a dynamic to the CM sound!.....

Bassist Marty Houlroyd is a rock-solid musician whose talent and
ambition has injected some new blood into CM.....Ever stoic on stage,
Marty is the anchor that provides the low-end rumble night after night....

Cosmo's Moon is a band that must be experienced live to be fully appreciated....

Fear Of None

4 Piece Metal Rock Band

We are two bands that came together by a coincidence. We are the former members of Talon and MPD we used to gig out together all the time because we used the same booking agent and after a while the two bands broke up and Larry and myself bumped into each other at Suffolk Community College and started writing the rest is history the core of Fear of None was born after that we put in an ad for a bass player and Rich answered the call and the three of us have been playing together now for 4 years unfortunately we have been through a few drummers but now I think we have our guy Steve he came to us out of happenstance he was jamming out at our guitar techs studio in Port Jeff and he really was into our brand of music he brings amazing technical skills as well as experience in playing out and in the studio the future has never been better.

Combat

In 1984, we (the Rossbach brothers, Rex and Jeff) had been trying to put another band together. We had jammed with Chris "The Monarch" Weidner a year before, and he in turn tried to hook us up with Bob Eubank. Last minute he decided he wanted in instead, and after seeing Metallica and Raven on the "Kill 'Em All For One" tour we were ready. *Boom* - COMBAT was launched.

We knew Joe Leonard who was working at Combat Records. He told us they were interested but the name had to go, so we became NAPALM. Next thing we knew our $200 demo became the Bootcamp EP.

1000 copies were pressed and sold, and Combat wanted us in the studio immediately to do a full album. This caused a rift, and Monarch went on to do the next album without us. Since the contract was with the original line up, Monarch tried to keep the deal going, but finally had to dump Combat Records. SPV answered the call. They put out Cruel Tranquility, and then with no original members left, the final NAPALM album, Zero To Black.

In 2002, Bob Eubank's persistence paid off and we reformed COMBAT. In 2007, in the spirit of the original Bootcamp EP, we released our full length album, RUINATION.

Steel Reign

5 Piece Heavy Metal Band

Steel ReigN is considered by many to be the premiere original heavy metal act in the tri-state area.  Despite the presence of lack luster imitators, the original NY based Steel ReigN is Frank Robertson (vocals), Pat Foote (bass), Frank Harris (lead guitar) Jaime Ehling (rhythm guitar), John Zatwarnicki (drums).

Having achieved much notoriety as one of Long Island’s premier original bands, the band has toured extensively with such national acts as Dream Theater, Nuclear Assault, Type-O Negative and Life of Agony.  With a tenure of several albums, the band continues to break new musical ground, and their latest release, “East of Eden” is nothing short of spectacular.

The millennium has brought a new determination to Steel ReigN to become leaders in bringing back Metal music and to break the monotonous flow of pop bands which pollutes our every day lives.

Top Dog

5 Piece Hard Rock Band

Hey all you rockers! Here's how this all came together.

Bobby and I left Nurse Diesel because we felt it was getting old and stale. In 2007 I decided to start "Heywire". That band wasn't working out like I expected, so I started getting new members one by one. That brings us to Under Cover.

That line-up consisted of Tony Galtieri on drums & vocals, Freddy Villano on bass & vocals, James Ericson on lead guitar & vocals, Bob Wassmuth on guitar, keys & vocals and myself on lead vocals.

Now to 2008. A new year and two new faces, well, one new face and one returning member. We've added Tim Martin on the drums & Johnnie Rodriguiz is back but this time playing his real instrument, guitar instead of masquerading as a bassist! So with these two great musicians added to the mix with Freddie, Bobby and myself, you get Top Dog!

We'll still be doing our 80's Tribute, but we'll be adding some of the best top 40 from the past four decades,  some southern rock, a little blues & as ALWAYS...some good old hard Rock & Roll!

Hope you all enjoy the new band...Top Dog!

Remember that name, soon you'll be seeing it everywhere!
